AAUW Tillamook, OR

The American Association of University Women branch in Tillamook, Oregon has over 60 members and just celebrated its 75th anniversary, making it one of the longest standing branches in the state. AAUW Tillamook has several programs to recognize young women who are in college or are college-bound. In particular, AAUW Tillamook annually recognizes three young women from each of the three Tillamook County high schools who excel in science, technology, or math. The honorees are invited to attend a ceremony, along with their families, where they are honored for their achievements. In addition, the young women are award a small monetary award that can be used for college application fees, college visits, etc. AAUW Tillamook also honors women in our community by providing scholarships for new and returning college students. Finally, AAUW Tillamook is one of the hosts of Tech Trek, a STEM camp for rising 8th grade girls.
