ACE the Summer

ACE the Summer is a collaboration between the Academy for Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE Academy) and Oregon Building Congress. The program is a three-week summer intensive for 8th, 9th and 10th grade students to introduce them to architecture, construction and engineering as it is taught at the ACE Academy. The program is targeted towards female and minority students. The major goals of the program are: 1) Introduce more girls and minority students to the architecture, construction and engineering fields; 2) Engage students in math, science and communications using the ACE Academy's model of project-based learning and credit-by-proficiency; and 3) Offer a productive and meaningful summer experience for local youth.
