ACM NM Celebration of Women in Computing

The ACM NMCWiC is an ACM Celebration of Women in Computing conference, which expands the positive impact of the national Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) and to include the NCWIT Practices Summit to underserved, local, diversity-rich populations. The vision is to develop self-sustaining regional communities using ACM-W regional conferences and ACM-W student chapters within the regions.

Typical Components of Regional Celebrations Programs

* Poster sessions

* Lunch with keynote address

* Two Program Tracks: Research, and Social/Ethical/Cultural issues in computing

* Faculty sessions on student recruitment and retention, presented by NCWIT representatives, with additional presentations or materials from ABI, ACM-W, and the Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W).
