After-school (STLP) and in-class (PLTW) robotics curriculum geared toward educating middle school students on robotics

The Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) and the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) STEM classes offered at BMS include curriculum to encourage boys and girls to develop an interest in robotics. The STEM class includes robotics (designing, building, programming) in the 8th grade level curriculum, which runs for 12 weeks per trimester. The STLP after-school club has both Sumobots and Robot Challenge Xtreme (RCX) events and projects that have students compete against other schools. Students learn design, building, and programming in STLP.
