Afterschool Explorations in Science (AXIS)

Afterschool Explorations in Science (AXIS) is a thematic curriculum designed specifically for use by afterschool programs to engage youth in grades 4-8 in doing fun, hands-on science explorations. The full-color activity books feature girls of various ethnicity doing science, asking questions and showing curiosity about their environment. Each of the six thematic units features a real scientist as a role model; female scientists are featured in four of the six units.
