A.L. Stanback Middle School Technology Student Association Chapter

TSA is a national organization that supports STEM education in middle and high school.  At A.L. Stanback Middle School, we started a chapter last school year (2011-2012).  We had approximately 25 members, 14% being young women.  TSA members compete in many STEM areas at local, state, and national levels.  We entered projects in 8 areas last year at the state competition and we trophied in 4.  We hope to enter more competition areas as well as formalize our chapter.  We hope to make this after-school club more accessible to girls by finding funding sources so that the girls can be concerned with their learning and participation and not with the costs associated with competing.
