All Things Woods Public Expo

For the past two years, we have sponsored a free public event in Portland, Maine called "All Things Woods," a day-long expo celebrating Maine's forests. Last year, we added a youth component and focused on scheduling educational workshops and having youth-related activities available throughout the day to appeal to families with young children. It would be great to have some program money marked specifically to address girls and the forest. I will need to find the best workshop presenter for this type of thing, but one of the STEM mini-grants would fund around two workshops and could benefit a good amount of youth--last year I would estimate 150-200 children attended workshops and presentations and more were present at activities throughout the day. (Hard to tell exactly since some overlapped on different workshop attendance counts.)
