ASU West Annual Sonia Kovalevsky HS Math Day

Young women, their peers, mentors, parents, and friends are invited to the West campus to engage in a day of mathematics activities. Funds for these SK Days come from the Association for Women in Mathematics, the ASU Women & Philanthropy group, the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, and the Division of Mathematical and Natural Sciences. Many young women do not excel in the sciences due to lack of role models or just because they don't know that careers in science are open to them! This Sonia Kovalevsky Day is an opportunity to engage your female students in a day of networking, mentoring, and fun! The day will begin at 8:30 am with registration and followed by math-related lectures for the students and a workshop for their teachers. All activities will be held on the West campus of Arizona State University, located near W Thunderbird Rd and N 43rd Ave.
