ATEC - Applied Technologies Exploration Camp

There are four types of camps:

a. Engineering Technology - many hands-on projects that cover many engineering disciplines;

b. Programmable Robotics - Using PIC processors to program a temperature sensor and using Lego Mindstorms;

c. Simulation and Gaming - Using Gamemaker to create a game;

d. Advanced Simulation and Gaming - using MAYA to create 3D images.

Goals:

1. To introduce students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade to Engineering and Simulation and Gaming;

2. To create many hands-on projects with ordinary objects or free downloadable software for the students to use;

3. To increase the awareness of engineering, engineering design process and team work.
