Austin Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (AusPREP)

The Austin Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (AusPREP) at Huston-Tillotson University is a 7-week summer program for high achieving middle and high school students with interest in becoming scientists and engineers. The AusPREP program increases opportunities in the STEM fields for underrepresented students by building their skills in math and engineering concepts. The program includes daily career awareness presentations by professionals in the STEM fields as well. Additionally, the linked Pre-Algebra Institute is a 4-week, half-day program that takes place during the second half of the AusPREP program. Middle school students who are currently in sixth, seventh, or eighth grades are encouraged to apply for AusPREP. Students currently in the fifth grade are encouraged to apply for the Pre-Algebra Institute.
