Awakening Girls to STEM Opportunities

This after-school program will recruit Latina and minority girls, but be open to all girls. Its purpose is to encourage girls to become more active and enthusiastic students, to make girls aware of scholarships and career opportunities, and encourage an interest in science and technology. Ideally, the program will include both guest speakers and hands-on activities. Activities can include preparing cars for the Junior Solar Sprint Challenge, DNA experiments, robotics, and conversations with women in industry.
