Future You! Field Trip

This program will provide girls with the opportunity to visit a place of work to connect with female role models during a typical workday in a STEM industry. Girls can take an in-depth look at a specific career field and will be encouraged to envision the “future you.” On a weekday when school is not in session, girls will take a bus, “field trip” style, to multiple locations to tour facilities, talk to the women that work there and take part in STEM activities and experiments. Broad goals for the program include introducing girls to non-traditional careers, exposing girls to female role models working in STEM fields, and piquing girls' interest in STEM programming at a younger age. Broad outcomes for this program include - Girls seeking challenges in the world and girls feeling connected to their communities, locally and globally.
