Girls Go Techbridge in Northern California

Girls Go Techbridge (GGT) is a partnership between Girl Scouts of Northern California and Techbridge to deliver hands-on engineering and design activities for girls in grades 4-12.

Comprised of five programs-in-a-box for girls and their adult facilitator(s), as well as in-person and online training, family outreach, evaluation and support, GGT has scaled up from two Girl Scout councils in 2008 to 17+ today, reaching thousands of girls each year.

The fundamental concept behind Girls Go Techbridge's hands-on activities is the Engineering Design Process. Through brainstorming as a team, designing, building, testing, then considering how to further improve, resilience is developed. Determination, creativity and perseverance are life-skills that will serve girls well, regardless of their future profession.
