Middle School Girls Science Club at Jane Addams K-8

Girls, grades 6-8, engage in a wide range of science activities in an after school club.  During the Spring semester of 2012-2013 school year, our students engaged in a 15 week forensic science unit.  This fall (2013-2014) we plan on using the Chemical Engineering curriculum from TechBridge followed by their Environmental Engineering curriculum in the spring.  We will be using Energy Theater activities as well- designed by Seattle Pacific University's Energy Project:  http://www.spu.edu/depts/physics/energyproject.htm

This club is taught by Chris Blea and Mary Van Eaton.  Currently, the school's PTA and the students themselves pay for this club to be held.  We would love to find outside funding to fully fund the club so that the girls do not pay to participate.
