Science Spooktacular

This one day, Halloween themed event for 4th and 5th grade girls and their families will feature over 50 interactive activities, provided by a university physics department community outreach program. The displays will be manned and directed by female role models: STEM college students, STEM professionals, and Science and Math teachers, with the goal of helping girls and their families to perceive STEM studies and careers as appropriate and achievable for girls. By providing an exciting event, we hope to encourage more girls to pursue studies that would later enable them to have a career in a STEM field.
