Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Career and Academic Perspectives (STEMCAPs)

The goal of the STEMCAPs program is to help students recognize science and technology are no longer “classroom” subjects, but on the job - daily life expectations; develop their potential to excel in math and science; encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately take part in careers in the math and science professions – the careers that offer the best opportunities for job growth in the future. The program brings mathematics and science teachers together with scientists, mathematicians, and engineers to improve their teaching skills; develop mentoring relationships; and increase high school proficiency in Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology to prepare students to succeed in the global economy.
