Smart City Saturday

Smart City Saturday is where the next generation of teen leaders, problem solvers, and entrepreneurs tackle our city's greatest challenges. We believe once teens are engaged in our communities, they can make a difference. Smart City Saturday accepts teens in Middle and High Schools.

At Smart City Saturday, teens will utilize design thinking to hack our city's greatest challenges. We work with the City of San Diego to gain actual data and have our teens help solve current problems the city is trying to solve. Current challenges include homelessness, transportation and engaging the youth in public service. Teams will be working with Design Thinking Coaches throughout the day, to help further their idea along. At the end of the day, teams will pitch their solutions to city officials, CEOs, educators and entrepreneurs.
