Student Teachers and Resources In Sciences STARS

STARS is an NSF GK-12 funded program that aims at developing communication and pedagogical skills in graduate STEM students while infusing science and engineering knowledge in the elementary school curriculum. It works as a partnership with the Hillsborough County School District to create, organize and present workshops to the elementary school teachers, as well as a source of expertise in STEM concepts for the schools with STARS fellows co-teaching in their classrooms.
