Washington Architectural Foundation Design Like A Girl Mentor Program

Girls are paired with a female mentor for a full year to experience first-hand the many roles women play in the architecture, construction and engineering worlds. Workshops address many aspects of design structural, conceptual and mechanical; sustainability; interior finishes; keeping a sketchbook. The girls "shadow" a mentor on construction site visits and in her office and take field trips to relevant buildings and exhibitions.

For ages 12-15

Quarterly day-long sessions during the school year. New session will begin in Fall of 2018.
