Women In Engineering Program

Project Objective Statement, To research and develop a detailed business plan regarding the implementation of a Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) in the College of Engineering at Marquette, that will focus on the two issues of recruitment and retention and serve to improve the overall climate in the College of Engineering.

Deliverable Items (For Second Semester)

1.Business action plan entailing the recommendations our team has formed concerning the establishment of a Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) under the two main headings of recruitment and retention, including the following:

a. Complete documentation including but not limited to program implementation plan, project definition document, customer needs document, target specifications document, concept generation, competitive benchmarking research, customer research summary, and event proposal

b. Presentation material including all visuals produced, presentation material from meeting with Dean Jaskolski, and final formal presentation

2. Implementation of one aspect of Recruitment portion from business action plan determined through the a process including concept generation and selection process, pending the approval of the team advisor, Dr. Jon Jensen, and the Marquette College of Engineering administration, Implementation of this plan will form a basis for the future growth and development of the Women in Engineering Program.
