YWCA School-Age Programs

YWCA school-age programs provide before and/or after school care. We provide age appropriate programming for children 5-14 years old, in grades k-8. Our programs are state-licensed and proivde a healthy safe environment to school-agers that meets families child care needs. Our school-age programs combine academic support/enrichment, social and life skills, health and recreation, character development and parent/family involvement while improving their overall academic performance.

During the school-year, the YWCA's school-age programs are not just an extension of the school day. Our before and after school, as well as our summer enrichment academy, combine fun and learning. Quality comprehensive programs like ours emphasize fun activity-based learning that reinforces the knowledge and skills needed for school success.  They also promote positive relationships among children and adults, create an engaging environment for children to interact with each other, and proivde opportunities for children to make decisions and learn leadership and life skills.
